Who is allowed to do a credit check?
Enterprises, including sole proprietorships, with a material need can do credit checks of their customers and suppliers.
When does a company have a factual need to do a credit check?
Enterprises can conduct a credit check of their customers, whether they are persons or enterprises when they are going to sell something on credit. Examples of this can be in connection with when the customer applies for a loan, when concluding a subscription, or in the case of sales or agreements that will entail the issuance of credit.
What is a credit check?
A credit rating is normally issued as a score between 0-100 that gives an indication of a person or company's creditworthiness. This is an important part of the decision-making basis for businesses that want to consider whether to offer a loan or sell a good or service on credit.
How to use the result from a credit check?
It is always the entity itself that makes the decision as to whether credit should be issued or not. The result from a credit check is delivered as a score from 0-100, where 100 is best. The score is also given as a grade describing how creditworthy the person or entity is.

Undertakings:
AAA = Very High Creditworthiness
AA = High Creditworthiness
A = Creditable
B = Low creditworthiness
C = Very low creditworthiness
D = Not creditworthy
IR = No Rating
AN = Newly Started

Persons:
A = Very high creditworthiness
B = High creditworthiness
C = Creditable
D = Low creditworthiness
E = Very low creditworthiness
IR = No Rating. This includes, among other things, persons who are under various forms of economic coercion arrangements, nothing to outlay, guardianship, no fixed address, etc.

Credit rating of persons

Credit checks on individuals will reduce the risk of saying yes to people who are at high risk of not being able to pay for themselves or defaulting on a loan. The score is an expression of how likely it is that a person will incur payment notices or coercive arrangements.

Credit score (0-100), grade (A-E), recommended credit limit.
No lock-in, pay for actual consumption. Reparty letter at cost + 10%.

Credit rating of enterprises

Credit checks on enterprises will reduce the risk of saying yes to companies that have a high risk of not being able to pay for themselves or defaulting on a loan. The score is an expression of how high the probability is that an enterprise will go bankrupt or be subject to foreclosure schemes.

Credit score (0-100), grade (AAA-D), recommended credit limit.
No lock-in, pay for actual consumption.
Credit rating of ENK and newstart AS.
